FRIDAY:

Here’s an unhealthy habit experts say we need to STOP making in our beauty routine – swabbing out our ears! Doctors say that it might feel good, but cotton swabs actually push ear wax in deeper. And you could damage your eardrum or the tiny bones that help you hear, if you go too far.

Instead, the experts recommend to let it come out on its own or see your doctor, if you’re experiencing any discomfort in your ears. So the obvious question is… why do they even make ear swab if we shouldn’t use them?!?!

THURSDAY:

If you’re feeling STRESSED OUT in 2020, welcome to the club! It’s no doubt been a tough year for so many of us. So what are 3 top ways to manage stress??

1. Experts say – Exercise regularly – your body can actually handle stress better when you’re active.

2. Set limits appropriately and learn to say no to requests that would create excessive stress in your life.

And 3. Doctors say get enough rest and sleep so that your body can recover from stressful events.

WEDNESDAY:

Today we’re talking about Kelly Clarkson because she’s hosting the Billboard Music Awards tonight on TV!

Kelly has never shied away from talking about her health, happiness and her weight-loss journey. Kelly admits that she still hates working out and encourages her fans to do what makes them feel best in her efforts to always be body positive. Kelly has taken drastic steps to eat a very organic healthy food diet and she has said that for her, it’s not about the weight, it’s about getting off her medicine for an autoimmune disease.

In dealing with body shamers, Kelly’s advice is “If you gauge your life on what other people think, you’re going to be in a constant state of panic trying to please everyone. People should just concentrate on their own lives and their own health and their own happiness, and whatever that looks like for you, be happy with it." Well-said!

Her honesty and steps to a healthy diet are going to inspire me today - I would turn my chair for that! See our favorite coach from The Voice tonight hosting the Billboard Music Awards on NBC at 8!

TUESDAY:

One way I try to get fit is to copy the habits of the healthy people I know! One top habit of super healthy people is they EAT breakfast. Breakfast jump starts your metabolism, which stops us from OVER-INDULGING later in the day.

Studies show that adults who eat breakfast do better at work and kids who eat a healthy breakfast score higher on tests. Experts say you don’t have to make it a big meal, but definitely do not skip it. (P.S. I am the worst at this breakfast game – but it’s going to be my one small thing – tomorrow morning!)

MONDAY:

Hey friends I’m Jenn Hobby & Feel Good Fitness is about doing one small thing to make a big impact on how you feel – today you should watch a video – Huh? Why would that be good for you? It is if you watch a CUTE Animal video!

A new study showed that adorable animal videos actually help reduce stress levels in humans!  Of the participants in this study, heart rates for every single person dropped sending each of them into an ideal blood pressure range. Plus, anxiety levels dropped in half of the people studied. Can you believe that baby pigs and tiny ducks can do that? Maybe the crazy cat lady we know who watches kitten videos at work all day, actually has a secret the rest of us need to lower stress and anxiety.

So if you can’t be with animals in person, watching adorable videos of them is the next best thing!
